Relatively normal cells of the ZG resting on a clear basement membrane (↓) surround the follicle. The oocyte is attached to the wall of the follicle by cumulus oophorus (CO). The cavity within the follicle is full of liquor folliculi (LF). Relatively normal TE surround the follicle (H&E, ×400).
